St. Helens Skatepark

St. Helens Skatepark (McCormick Park) located at 475 S 18th St, St Helens, OR 97051 is not a bad park. It’s a bit older so the concrete is a bit rough and slow but all around is in decent shape. The street section is a bit sparse, but the park has a pyramid hip with a square handrail, a stepped flat ledge, two ledges that lead down a transition from the 6ft bowl area, and a rounded transition with coping at the top. At the top of the park there is a 9-foot bowl at the top of the park with hips that drop into the 6-foot halfpipe area with metal coping throughout the bowl section. Its not a bad park and worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Battle Ground Skatepark

Battle Ground Skatepark, located at 912 E Main St, Battle Ground, WA 98604 is another massive 27,000 sq. ft. park built by Dreamland skateparks and as usual with their parks it’s pretty fun. The park is basically two sections, a street area and the bowls area and there are a lot of obstacles to hit at this park. The street section has a bit of everything, ledges, stair gaps, hips, handrails, a pyramid hip and quarter pipes that range in height up to about 8ft or so. There are two bowls, one a massive one that is a bit of a snake run, it snakes down from a 3ft area all the way down to a big half dome ( I don’t know what they are called) that is about 12ft with the rest of the transitions being around 8ft or so with standard copping throughout. The other bowl is more of an old school pool style that is a clover shape, ranging in height from about 5ft to about to 10ft with pool copping with some tight transitions that’s really fun. The park got a bit crowded but it is worth checking out
