Keizer Skatepark

Keizer Skatepark is located in Keizer OR, ( 930 Chemawa Rd NE, Keizer, OR 97303 ) about 45mins south of Portland OR. I have to say that this park is not my favorite for a few reasons but mostly because the two times I have been there I have got broken. The 1st time I broke my wrist when I got wheel bite, the 2nd time I blew out my knee when I hit a wet spot that I did not notice in the bowl. I think the place is fucking cursed, but you can make up your own mind. The park has recently been refurbished by Dreamland , who did a good job but it still has some really rough concrete almost everywhere with exception of the bowls, halfpipe and the lines they smoothed out in the street part. Keizer has a variety of obstacles to hit including rails, hips, pyramids, ledges, some stair gaps with handrails, and other various shit but the reason to go here at all is for the refurbished big bowl with a keyhole, its super fun, fast and smooth at about 6ft with decent coping. Another reason I am not a ...

Lunch Money Skatepark

Lunch Money ( https://lunchmoneyskatepark.org/ ) is a little indoor non-profit skate shop / skatepark located in Washougal WA. ( 421 C St Suite 5B, Washougal, WA 98671 ) Their whole thing is to give kids a place to skate who don’t have any money which is pretty cool. The park itself is pretty small with a street course that is flanked by a 5ft quarter pipe with some inclined flats, a fun box, a pyramid hip with a ledge and a fun little wood bowl that’s about 2ft. It’s a good spot if you’re just learning or trying to figure out rock & roles or something like that.

St Johns Secret Spot

Now that it’s gone (fuck you very much PBOT) I can post about the St Johns Secret Spot. It was a DIY that was about half finished assuming the unknown builders were going to do a full bowl. It was a pretty intense bowl with a fair amount of vert with what I think was about a 10ft drop in off of pool coping with a bit of a little round indent on one side. It had really smooth concrete for a DIY spot, it’s a shame that it never got finished before it got taken out. Thanks to whoever built it and sorry that your hard work got trashed by the city, it was a cool spot that was not for the faint of heart.

Scooters Suck Campaign

I'm sure like myself, the rest of you at some point has had a kid on a scooter cut off your line at a park... Which is pretty annoying... No to mention dangerous... Don't get me wrong, they are only kids, (if your a teenager or older and still scooting there is no hope for you ) so its not completely their fault as they have no idea of what correct skate park etiquette is because their parents obviously have never skated. This has to be true because NO self respecting individual would ever let their kid scoot if they have ever placed even a single foot on a skateboard. Yes, the blame my friends lies entirely with the parents who bought them that silly piece of metal with handle bars and dropped them off at a skate park as if its a playground, with a jungle gym and a slide. So we must educate them,  In the hopes of stopping the indoctrination of the lamest thing ever and bringing awareness to the parents of these poor soles I came up with the Scooters Suck campaign, Because Kno...

Newberg Skatepark

Newberg Skatepark ( 1201 S. Blaine Street Newberg, OR. 97132 ) is about an hour SW of Portland. Built in 2000 by Dreamland Skateparks this 29,000 sq. ft. park is a pretty cool spot with a variety of stuff to hit throughout this sprawling park. Going from the left to right when entering you first encounter a round transition that comes to a flattened round point that at one point spun, continuing left you encounter a long 4/5ft offset 2 kidney shaped bowl that is super fun with great lines. At the far end of this bowl is a role in from a higher 5ft kidney shaped half bowl that ls pretty challenging from a goofy rider’s perspective but is really fun. To the left of the first bowl is a doubled hump with a 4ft handrail that spans the humps that leads up to the higher 5ft kidney shaped half bowl. This section is personally my favorite as I was able to create some really fun lines incorporating all aspects of that section of the park. At the back of the park, next to the 5ft kidney bowl is ...
